Wow holy shit all of you are assholes. I not only fear for my own future, especially if all of you plan on voting, but also fear for your futures.

Did you ever think about how we don’t need to make this a law? Why not protest a business, not the government? Did you ever think of that? Jesus fucking christ.

I remember looking at Pete and Patrick and telling Pete, “You’re the luckiest guy in the world because you found this guy.” Patrick laughed. Then I turned to Patrick and said the same thing to him. They fit together so perfectly. Pete listens to electronic music and pop. He DJs. Patrick likes old soul and classic R&B. The fact that Patrick found this guy with this vision; Pete had everything for the band laid out in his mind. And the fact that Pete found a guy who can sing like that and take his lyrics and work with them - which is an art unto itself. It’s really the combination of those two that really creates the sound and the songs. They’re just really lucky they found each other.

We’ve gotten into shouting matches before, for sure. One thing that Pete and I won’t tolerate in each other—this is something that we have argued about a lot and gotten really angry with each other about—is that self doubt, is that kind of, “You don’t understand what you’ve made here, this is really great” and I’ll find Pete sometimes saying “Ahh these lyrics suck” and it pisses me off because it’s so good and he’s just missing it.

coffeeshop au: when his local starbucks hires a new barista, pete isn’t sure what to think, especially when he starts making his latte with patterns in the foam. (the cute new barista is totally not the reason why pete keeps going back every day)
